Nick Ollive MBE

Co Founder and Managing Director

Nick brings over two and a half decades of leadership and management experience from a distinguished career in the Royal Marines, where he served as the senior enlisted advisor for the Corps.

As co-founder of ETHOS Empowering Growth, he now partners with organisations to explore, translate and embed values-driven leadership. Combining academic insight with practical experience.

Nick develops and implements innovative programmes aimed at fostering authentic organisational culture, improving performance, and cultivating resilient, high-performing teams founded on trust, purpose, and behavioural excellence.

Al Weldon

Co Founder and Managing Director

Al has over 26 years of leadership experience across UK Defence and the international energy sector, leading teams through transformation in some of the most demanding and resource-limited environments in the world. These experiences shaped his belief that genuine connection, empathy and resilience are the true multipliers of success.

Dr Jutta Tobias Mortlock

Social Psychologist

Dr Jutta Tobias Mortlock is a social psychologist and Co-Director of City, University of London's Centre for Excellence in Mindfulness Research.

With over 25 years' experience across six countries, she specialises in evidence-based behaviour change, workplace mindfulness, and leadership. Her research integrates third-wave cognitive-behavioural approaches such as ACT to enhance wellbeing and performance.

Jutta advises the UK Mindfulness Initiative and US non-profit Inner Explorer, and has delivered resilience and mindfulness programmes with the British Army, Royal Navy, and Royal Marines. A Fellow of the RSA and former consultant with Arthur Andersen, she combines academic rigour with real-world impact, championing mindful leadership that sustains wellbeing and performance.

Rosalyn (Roz) Thornton

Leadership Depth Coach

Roz Thornton is a Senior EMCC Accredited Leadership Depth Coach and founder of Vision Led Way, a pioneering framework integrating personal insight with organisational transformation.

With over 27 years of experience, Roz partners with senior executives to build trust, resilience, and cultural alignment. Formerly a Principal Consultant with Patrick Lencioni's Table Group, the only woman to hold that role in the UK, she blends psychological depth with strategic clarity to help leaders turn insight into collective impact. Her work spans corporates, public bodies, and NGOs, fostering leadership that is authentic, courageous, and systemically transformative.
 

Martin (Stapes) Stapleton

World Champion and
High-Performance Coach

Stapes is a former Royal Marines Commando, World Champion Mixed Martial Artist (MMA) and a high-performance coach. Drawing on 12 years of military service and a decade of business success as founder of SBG Rochdale, one of the UK's leading MMA facilities, he specialises in leadership, mindset, and resilience development.

Stapes has coached elite athletes and teams including Wigan Warriors, Sale Sharks, and England Rugby, translating battlefield discipline into peak performance strategies. His mission is to help individuals and organisations build mental strength, perform under pressure, and lead with clarity, courage, and purpose.

Ash St. Hill

Senior Mentor and Coach

Over two decades of experience serving in the Royal Marines, Ash has witnessed how exceptional leadership and military precision can drive extraordinary results in the most demanding environments.

Those experiences shaped his belief that people are capable of far more than they realise when guided with clarity, purpose, and trust. Today, he channels that insight into helping businesses and leaders unlock their full potential.

Sam Wones

Co-founder of Adaptable Human Project (AHP)

Sam helps organisations and their people to manage stress and protect performance.

Before spending a decade in the Royal Marines, Sam studied performance psychology at university and has worked with international athletes and coaches.

The AHP uses clinical physiological expertise, combined with performance psychology, to help business leaders understand and tackle stress, overwhelm and burnout. This increases and protects performance, resilience and cohesion, whilst reducing lost revenue.

Sam takes a diagnostic-led approach and is passionate about helping others to understand and apply training and techniques he's used in his own personal and professional life.

Andy Morgan

Strategic Mentor and Coach

A values-driven leader with over 23 years in the Royal Marines, Andy brings extensive experience in leadership, organisational development, and people management in high-pressure environments.

He currently serves as a senior HR manager, overseeing the welfare, conduct, and development of more than 800 personnel. Passionate about coaching and inclusion, Andy designs and delivers leadership programmes that build trust, accountability, and professional growth.

His dedication to self-development and continuous learning includes an MBA pathway and a regular commitment to high-profile endurance events. Andy articulates strategic logic with clarity and impact yet remains grounded and authentic in his approach.
 

Jack McMillan 

Performance Mentor and Coach

Jack McMillan is a high-performance coach, Master Breathwork instructor and ex-professional athlete who has worked with thousands of athletes worldwide. He is the founder of Optima Performance — an elite performance company where he works with GB athletes, high-performing CEOs to Premier League footballers, and is a leading Breathwork educator within elite sport. Jack helps people perform under pressure and build a resilient nervous system to achieve sustainable high performance.
